Leadership Development Program

Component 2 relates to identifying and developing Project Management skills within the ACs to better manage infrastructure projects and at the HCWW level to more effectively monitor and control project implementation. The main recipients of this component are staff within the HCWW Project Sector; General Department for Rehabilitation and Renovation (R&R) Projects and the General Department for CAPW and NOPWASD Projects, and Project Sector staff from 4 ACs (Dakahlia, Damietta, Sharkia, Sohag). 55 participants will be trained in this component using pilot infrastructure projects and the use of a project performance monitoring system (PPMS) a software being developed by the Consultant for the follow-up, monitoring and reporting of infrastructure project progress.

The training focusses on 5 of the PMI PMBOK knowledge areas (Procurement, Time, Cost, Quality, Claims) within the “Executing” and “Monitoring & Control” Process Groups.

For sustainability a number of participants will be trained as trainers.
