Following the success of the WSRP-Phase I implemented by means of a € 80 million grant, both the Government of Egypt and the European Commission agreed to allocate an additional grant of € 120 million for WSRP-Phase II. The overall objective is to support the Government of Egypt in continuing the reform programme of the water sector in accordance with the objectives of the National Water Resource Plan 2005-2017.
